Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Dopi app and this website. Please read them - especially the sections on physical activity and what Dopi can and cannot do.

1. Agreement

By downloading or using Dopi (the "App") or this website, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. What Dopi is (and isn't)

Dopi is a voluntary self-control tool. You choose which apps and websites to shield on your own device, and you earn temporary access by completing activities that the App validates locally. Dopi is:

  • Not a parental control product. It is designed for controlling your own device use, and you can pause or remove protection at any time.
  • Not a health, medical, therapeutic, or fitness product. Dopi does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition, does not provide medical, psychological, nutritional, or fitness advice, and makes no health-outcome claims. References to potential benefits of moving more, breathing exercises, hydration, or reduced screen use are general lifestyle statements, not medical claims. Consult a qualified professional about your health.
  • Not a security product. Shielding relies on Apple's Screen Time technology and your continued choice to keep it enabled.

3. Physical activity - your responsibility

Some challenges involve physical exercise (for example squats, planks, push-ups, jumping jacks, walking, or stretching). By using them you confirm that:

  • You are voluntarily choosing to perform these activities and are physically able to do so safely.
  • You will stop immediately if you feel pain, dizziness, or discomfort.
  • You have consulted a qualified professional if you have any condition that could make exercise risky for you.

You perform all physical activities at your own risk. Non-physical challenges (breathing, journaling, math, and others) are always available as alternatives.

4. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with the App Store terms. You may not reverse engineer, resell, or misuse the App, or attempt to circumvent its entitlement or validation systems.

5. Subscriptions and purchases

  • Dopi is free to download with free challenges included. Dopi Plus unlocks the full challenge library and is available as an auto-renewing monthly or yearly subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase.
  • All payments are processed by Apple through your App Store account. We never receive your payment details.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Cancelling keeps Plus active until the end of the paid period.
  • Monthly, yearly, and lifetime Plus purchases support Apple Family Sharing when enabled for the products in App Store Connect. Eligibility and access are managed by Apple under its Family Sharing terms.
  • For any billing question, contact us first through the support form at dopiapp.com/support and we will work with you to resolve it. Payment processing and any refunds are ultimately subject to Apple's App Store terms.
  • Prices are shown before purchase and may vary by region. We may change future pricing; changes never affect an already-paid period or a completed lifetime purchase.
  • Which challenge modules are free, paid, or featured may change over time as the App evolves.

6. Accounts

An account is optional. If you sign in with Apple, you are responsible for your Apple Account security. You may delete your Dopi cloud account at any time in the App (Settings → Delete Account). We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or attempt to defraud reward systems.

7. Platform limitations you accept

Dopi is honest about what Apple's platform allows. By using the App you acknowledge that:

  • Screen Time shielding requires your authorization and can be revoked by you in iOS Settings at any time.
  • Alarm sounds can be silenced using system controls; Dopi's enforcement is that shielded apps remain locked until the wake challenge is completed, not that the alarm is unstoppable.
  • Camera-based validation depends on framing, lighting, and visibility, and may occasionally miscount despite our safeguards.
  • The Apple Watch app is a companion; the iPhone remains authoritative for all unlock decisions.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the App unlawfully, attempt to manipulate reward or entitlement systems, interfere with the service or its cloud infrastructure, or use the App in situations where distraction or physical activity would be dangerous (for example, while driving).

9. Intellectual property

The App, this website, and all associated names, logos, designs, and content are owned by Dopi or its licensors and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Apple, Apple Watch, iPhone, and the App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The App and website are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will achieve any particular reduction in your screen time or any lifestyle outcome.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Dopi shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for personal injury arising from your voluntary participation in physical activities, lost profits, or lost data, arising from your use of the App. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

12. Termination

You can stop using the App at any time and delete your account in-app. We may terminate or suspend access for breach of these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (disclaimers, limitations of liability, intellectual property) survive termination.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the App evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable in your country of habitual residence, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you hold there.
